SMKSN is super excited to have secured a full day of training with Nate Hanson!
Join us for a day of coastal kayak training where the prime agenda is to improve finesse, understanding, and confidence in rocks, surf, and a bit of current. We’ll work to better understand the forces that work on our boats in these environments, and learn how to use the ocean’s energy to our advantage, because paddling with the sea as your partner is always easier than going head to head! In our small-group format, content will be catered to the individual needs and interests of the participants.
10% of the class fee is being paid by SMSKN making this session $90 for each member. (This is for members only unless event doesn’t fill by June 8th then it will be open to non members at $100 per person)
Trip Level: Intermediate: As to allow everyone to have a great experience participants need at least have: basic edging and turning strokes, basic concept of bracing, solid wet exits, and be familiar with 2 person rescues, both the in water and in kayak role.
